(How To Boost Sales With AutoResponders)

Are you making this common mistake in your Internet Marketing?

• Did you put up a web site on the Internet and start advertising to sell stuff?
• Did you get an Affiliate site and start advertising to sell stuff?
• Are you trying to get visitors to actually land on your site and make a buying decision right away?

Why doesn't this approach work? This way of marketing and presenting yourself completely disregards the thought processes of how your average prospect or customer thinks. And as you are most likely experiencing, the results from this approach are pretty dismal.

So let's look at this from a marketing perspective:

What did this person do right?

• They were in the right market. You are at a social event so clearly you have an interest in meeting people, right?

• So this stranger decides to pitch you and close the deal right away.

Predictably, this won't work. And it won't work for your Internet Marketing, either.

To succeed at Internet Marketing (meaning "close more sales and make more money") you must use a sales process which involves multiple points of contact with your best prospects.

An example of this multi-step process would be:

Step 1: Promoting your web site.
(The Internet Marketing version of simply "being available and looking")

Step 2: Capturing information from Interested Prospects
(The Internet Marketing version of "Let's get a cup of coffee")

Step 3: Follow up with those interested prospects over time.
(The Internet Marketing version of "dating")

Step 4: Close the sale now that they feel they know and can trust you.
(The Internet Marketing version of "Let's get married")

So How Do You Handle Steps 2, 3, and 4?
